Precast pre-stressed solid floor slabs provide for school’s extension.

Precast pre-stressed solid floor slabs or Flood Super Wideslab® are manufactured using an innovative casting system ensuring a truly smooth soffit finish. Flood Super Wideslab® is often referred to as “plate flooring” contains an internal strand which facilitates notching and the forming of openings that is suitable for a variety of construction development.

Flood Precast provide Flood Super Wideslab® for the extension at Robert May’s School in Odiham, Hampshire, England.  1000m2 of Flood Super Wideslab® and 2no Precast Stairs we’re provided with our last delivery completed in January 2018.

The ground floor of the building will contain a new reception and library. The first floor will hold four standard classrooms and one enlarged “dry-lab” for scientific, technical, digital, engineering and practical learning. The estimated total cost of this project is £7600000, which is due to be completed for the stat of the academic year 2019.

The expansion works at Robert May’s School will include:

  • New build two-storey building with a bridge link
  • 4 general teaching classrooms
  • 1 practical classroom
  • Lift and bridge access to the existing school building
