High-quality precast products delivered for the Battle of Britain

Flood Precast we’re delighted to be a part of this project and to provide high-quality precast products for such a remarkable and historical development. We worked in collaboration with Main Contractor Volker Fitzpatrick on the Battle of Britain Visitor Centre. This was a very challenging installation, with restrictive access. Our design and manufacturing teams worked to provide auditorium terrace units which were of the highest quality finishes.

Precast concrete terrace units proved a high-quality base for banked seating in new build stadia, arena, cinemas, external terraced areas & concert halls. Pre-cast units provide the seating, and also the terrace steps.

The building is 2,000 square metres in size and set across two levels. The design embraces the central themes of flight and planes with a shell-like form and twisted geometry. There will be a 519 square metre main exhibition hall, which will house a variety of exhibits; 95 seat auditorium and lecture hall; a café and gift shop; reception area; toilets and a workspace for schools, corporate events and functions.

Our Terrance Units we’re fit for Boris Johnson to stand on during the opening ceremony to make his speech.
