Precast Stairs sits in perfect partnership with Steel Frame construction

Flood Precast provided precast concrete stairs for this new development in Birmingham. The main structure was a steel frame construction where our precast stairs sat into perfectly. Our installation teams will easily fit our precast stairs to masonry, in-situ concrete or steel frames taking into account the different requirements for disproportionate collapse and the fixings required for each.

Precast Stairs can be placed along with Precast Concrete Flooring giving immediate safe access to upper floors quickly and efficiently. All Precast Stair and landing units are designed in accordance with relevant BS and Euro codes. Precast concrete stairs provide a safe means of escape in event of fire and can be installed instantly, they are used in every development type where there is a requirement for access and egress

Birmingham City University is planning to open a new hotel and conference centre as it continues a major regeneration of its campus. A new 172-bedroom hotel and conference centre on the site of its existing facilities, called ‘Conference Park at the University of Birmingham’, is expected to double its 40-strong team there. The complex would be available to all sectors to hire for events, functions and parties. The facility, expected to open by summer 2018, will be known as the Hornton Grange Hotel and Conference Centre and will increase the total of number of beds at the park to 220.
