The Exchange Building – Precast Concrete Stairs

The new six-storey office building in the IFSC, called The Exchange, was officially launched in Sept 2016 with construction due to be finished by October 2017. The Exchange Building is Grade A development is being developed by Cosgrave Property Group, with John Sisk & Sons as the main contractor. Flood Precast designed, manufactured and installed 37no Precast Concrete Stairs with attached landings for this development which is located on the Docklands Luas line and adjacent to the Citi Group building. The Exchange comprises 105,000 sq ft of office space over six floors.

The Exchange will be the first new Grade A office building constructed within the original phase of Dublin’s IFSC since 2003.

Designed by KMD Architects, The Exchange is a six-storey over basement building with a projected glass and granite façade, full floor-to-ceiling glazing and a full-height central atrium allowing natural light to each of its six floors.

Flood Precast staircases conform to all current regulations and can accommodate most architectural layouts. Design and manufacture is carried out in accordance with BS 8110: 1997. These stairs were giving a Type ‘B’ finish. Landings can be cast integral with the stair flights or separate in order to achieve the optimum staircase construction.
