Concrete Stairs provided for Earlsfort Terrace

This project based at the intersection of Earlsfort Terrace and Hatch Street in Dublin 2. It includes a 7 storey development of 14,773sqm gross floor area, consisting of a 10,990sqm (118,296sqfl) net office development. Two levels of basement, which is 8m deep, accommodates 37 car parking spaces which is accessible off Hatch Place. The development also includes 4 existing Victorian style houses on Earlsfort terrace, accommodating an additional 1264sqm (gross) of office space.

This project has provided significant challenges due to the proximity of the basement to existing buildings and roadways, as well as an ambitions cantilever section for which the observational method has been utilised to mitigate the risks involved.

Flood Precast provide 32no precast concrete stairs going from the double storey basement to the roof level. Precast concrete stairs needs no additional curing on site and does not require protection from weather conditions, the installation process is quick, neat, clean and dry. Precast concrete staircases provide an unobstructed, early, secure and instant work platform during construction. This speeds up construction on site and provides a safer working environment by allowing an immediate access to different spaces and levels.
